Some culture are better stored in cool places because they tend to grow faster in a cooler environment and others are grown in an aerobic environment those culture that needs oxygen to reproduce while others can not stand oxygen and die.

In culturing these microorganisms, it lets the researchers discover new things about the specimen and lets them store the specimen for use in the following experiments. Many vaccines and cure have been formulated and made through culturing these microorganisms. It is not only used in microbiology but also in agriculture where they culture fruit and vegetables. They often study these cultures to perfect the fruit or vegetable of their choice, often by genetic engineering. To yield greater number of crops, to have longer lasting fruit or vegetable, blemish free appearance, good quality and even increase in size.

Tissue culture microscope is often times inverted with its objective lenses pointed upward to view the culture from the bottom of the Petri dish. This tissue culture is used for visualizing functioning tissue cells. Tissue culture microscope can be utilized in a number of microscopy applications like molecular biology, cellular biology, medical diagnostics even in a biology classroom experiments.
